What professional instructor capability do you want to own regardless of where your career goes next?

Becoming an MCT and Becoming a Professional Instructor Are Related—But They Are Not the Same Thing.

Microsoft controls the MCT program. That means Microsoft—not FDTEC—determines the current credential requirements, application process, enrollment requirements, program rules, and renewal requirements.

Because those requirements can change, candidates should use Microsoft's current MCT information when making an enrollment decision.

FDTEC does not control MCT eligibility and FDTEC Certified Instructor™ does not replace Microsoft's MCT requirements.

But if the reason you are exploring MCT is because you want to teach technology, facilitate professional learning, develop customers, coach teams, lead enablement, or transfer your expertise to other people, the professional opportunity extends far beyond MCT.

FDTEC Has Been Developing the People Behind Technology Learning Since 1999.

We understand why professionals searching for MCT find FDTEC. Microsoft instructor development is an important part of our history.

FDTEC was the longest-serving provider of MCT instructional-skills development before Microsoft moved that function in-house.

For more than two decades, FDTEC worked with technical professionals who already possessed subject expertise but needed something different: the professional capability to communicate, facilitate, present, question, coach, engage, solve problems, and transfer that expertise effectively.

Knowing the technology and teaching the technology are different professional capabilities.

Technology changes. Certifications change. Platforms change. The human capabilities required to develop other people remain.

Brand recognition is one thing. Twenty-five-plus years of professional instructor-development experience is another.

Expertise Creates Value. The Ability to Transfer Expertise Multiplies It.
