Applying Instructor Capability in This Professional Context

Data professionals do more than analyze information. Increasingly, they must explain insights, influence decisions, enable users, guide teams, facilitate understanding, and help organizations act on what the data reveals.

You May Have Found FDTEC Through Microsoft. The Professional Opportunity Goes Much Further.

For years, technology professionals came to FDTEC because they wanted to combine Microsoft expertise with the instructional capability associated with becoming a Microsoft Certified Trainer.

Microsoft now controls the MCT pathway directly, including its current eligibility, onboarding, enrollment, and renewal requirements.

But the professional need behind instructional skills did not disappear when the pathway changed. In a workplace increasingly driven by data, AI, cloud technology, analytics, and digital transformation, the ability to help other people understand and apply expertise has become even more important.

Use data, technology, tools, and professional judgment to uncover meaningful information.

Translate complexity into information that learners, customers, leaders, and teams can understand.

Help people move from understanding an insight to applying knowledge and building capability.

Before Microsoft Moved MCT Instructional-Skills Development In-House, FDTEC Was the Longest-Serving Provider.

FDTEC has been developing the people behind technology learning since 1999.

For more than 25 years, we worked with technology professionals who possessed valuable subject-matter expertise and wanted to become more effective at developing other people.

Our Microsoft MCT instructional-skills experience became an important part of that foundation.

It also taught us something much bigger: technologies change, credentials change, products change, and vendor programs change— but the need to transfer expertise effectively remains.

Decades of experience developing professional instructor capability as technology evolved.

FDTEC was the longest-serving provider of MCT instructional-skills development before Microsoft moved that function in-house.

FDTEC's approach to professional instructor development was not built by standing outside the technology industry. It grew from decades of experience developing professionals inside changing technology ecosystems.

That experience is why we believe professional instructor capability should complement vendor expertise rather than remain trapped inside a single vendor environment.
