MCT Program Team.

What this means for those seeking to become Microsoft Certified Trainers. Microsoft having obviously taken a long look at the training landscape, has decided that it’s MCT Certification has extremely strong value. I am of the opinion that the higher your level of certification, the stronger you are as a Microsoft Certified Trainer.

I believe that MOS Certification is a very solid skill set, and creates tremendous value to the end-user community. So though I may not agree with the decision to remove MOS professionals from the MCT program, it has become clear that Microsoft gets the value of it’s MCT Program. This sends a clear signal to the IT community, that the requirements for MCT Certification will continue to rise.

We get a number of inquiries from IT professionals seeking MCT Certification that do not meet the program entry requirements. As an example Professionals that hold MTA certifications are not eligible for MCT consideration.

Now holders of MOS certification will no longer to considered qualified for MCT status. The good news is if you are a current holder of the MCT certification, Microsoft will continue to accept MOS certification toward your MCT.

Note* Microsoft has not removed the MOS certifications from the list of acceptable exams/certifications for entry into the MCT Program. However, ONLY current MCT’s gaining these certifications will be recognized.

The Following are the Steps to MCT Certification and all that currently qualify is encouraged to take advantage of your current certification to leverage your skills to become a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT).

Since we designed this course for working adults, we added some things for your convenience. First we have added a final exam. The final exam must be completed in 2 hours. You can take it multiple times at no additional cost if you do not pass on your first attempt. You need 65% for a passing score. The exam consists of 50 questions.

If you desire a more traditional experience, you should choose our Virtual Instructor-Led online delivery method. This course has proven an excellent choice for Microsoft professionals that are in different regions of the world. This course is scheduled to run on U.S Eastern Standard Time and European time. The course is designed to be completed in 2-3 days. There is no final exam required for this course.
