Career Flexibility
If you possess Microsoft’s prestigious MCT Certification it opens new opportunities to you. Microsoft Certified Trainers work in several industries from banking and finance, food and beverage, transportation, and corporate and technology companies.
They can work in a single location or travel globally.
Microsoft Certified Trainers are unlike any other Microsoft Certified Professional. Microsoft Trainers can develop a client base that includes IT Schools, Consulting firms, and corporations. They are not limited to a geographical region.
The Microsoft Instructional Skills (MCT) Certification is recognized internationally.
Path to IT Management
Microsoft Certified Trainers develop leadership, communication, and delivery skills. These skills create IT Professionals that are agile for today’s business needs. MCTs have the talent to deliver a single course or manage entire training programs. The Microsoft Certified Trainer Certification is as strong as any of the PMP, Leadership and Development, or Project-based certifications. Microsoft Certified Trainer courseware covers all the skills in each of these certifications in a single course.
Microsoft Certified Trainers create long-term value for organizations. This is validated through the requirements of many corporations that insist that members of their training teams are MCT Certified. MCTs are not limited to technology companies. Microsoft Certified Trainers are employed across industries. This includes education, automotive, food and beverage, transportation, and more. They have the skills to design, develop, and implement training programs, and manage projects for successful competition.
Earning Power
Microsoft Certified Trainers average $135k annually in salary. This is the average pay for Microsoft Trainers who choose to work for a single employer. This is an excellent path for a new MCT with little experience in technology.
If you have 3-5 years of technical experience, becoming a Microsoft Certified Trainer changes your prospects. When you combine your skills with your new MCT Certification it’s not unexpected to earn more in salary.
Once you have above 5-7 years in the industry it’s up to you to know your value. You can negotiate a handsome sum.
The numbers are based on in-house jobs. Microsoft Certified Trainers have the option to deliver Microsoft Technologies, and Products as freelancers. Freelancers set their prices on an hourly, daily, weekly, or course basis. Each course pays differently. Microsoft Fundamentals pays less than Microsoft Associate-level courses. Associate-level courses pay less than expert-level courses.
Microsoft Security Fundamentals will generally pay more than Administration. The same rule applies to Associate and Expert courses.
Courses that are in demand pay more for obvious reasons. The more courses you are certified in the more opportunities you have and the higher the rate you can charge.
Internationally Recognized and Exclusivity
The Microsoft Certified Trainer Program started in 1993. Microsoft initially offered three certifications, Windows 3.1, SQL, and Microsoft Certified Trainer. The Microsoft Certified Trainer Program was designed to train professionals working in the corporate environment on Microsoft Technologies, and Products.
Microsoft Instructional Skills (MCT) Certification is perhaps Microsoft’s most prestigious certification and one of its oldest certifications. Microsoft Certified Trainers are recognized internationally as subject matter Experts in all things Microsoft.
The Microsoft Certified Trainer Program is an exclusive club. Members have access to resources other Microsoft Professionals can not access. You must meet additional requirements to remain an active member of this exclusive club of less than 20,000-30,000 by paying an annual fee based on your geographical region. You must teach at least (1) Microsoft course annually.
